Strumpet City
Strumpet City is a Dublin on the edge. Ordinary folk are barely surviving, festering in squalid tenements, whole families living in a single room. The war against Germany is looming and talk of rebellion against the British can be heard on every street corner. The mis-treated workers in the industrial factories are forming strong unions, and the city is about to boil over. One of the most turbulent eras in modern Irish history sets the backdrop to this celebrated drama.
