Marooned is the 2004 Gaelic Football Championship review, a year which saw Kerry win another title but also a year when another Kerryman, Paudie O Shea, managed a very succesful Westmeath team to win the Leinster Championship for the first time. An historic achievement indeed and what about Fermanagh who also created some memorable days as they swashbuckled their way through the qualifiers.
And in one of the most exciting quarter final stages in a Croke Park double header on August 7th who can forget the elation as both underdogs on the day upset the odds - Fermanagh overcoming Armagh while Mayo ousted Tyrone. Mayo then go on to meet Fermanagh in the semi-final and that pairing went all the way to a replay. Marvellous matches !!! Fantastic football !!!
