Hurling Final 1970 - Cork v Wexford
Cork (6-21) v Wexford (5-10) : The first meeting of the counties in a final since the extraordinary days of the 1950s when they attracted the two highest attendances in All-Ireland hurling history. Things have moved on since the days of Ring and the Rackards and this is the first 80-minute final. Wexford are missing three crucial players, Phil Wilson, Willie Murphy and Ned Buggy and go into this as underdogs. The teams have shared 22 goals on the way to the final so this should be a high-scoring contest.
