1968 – Wexford (5-08) v Tipperary (3-12) : The fourth time the counties have played in a final this decade with Wexford looking to even the score. This is Tony Doran’s first final and his imposing presence is a serious threat to favourites Tipperary. But they have problems. Their own iconic forward, Jimmy Doyle, is carrying an injury and mightn’t be fit.
