For many years I've wanted to record some of this work on film. All of my life I've been working with songs. Writing, chording, learning, shaping and then performing all these gems that have come my way.

I've long wanted to try and capture their kernel and maybe let others see what it is I find so exciting and seductive in their words and music. We set up in Cabinteely House, managed to sneak past make-up, to avoid wardrobe and to get on with focusing upon the essence. Don't get me wrong, there is no one more partial to a bit of lipstick but there is a time and place for everything! We had a grand time making this work.

I got to sing and play with some of my favourite people and also got to introduce you to some of our finest writers. If you enjoy watching this do let them know - I'd love to do it again. I might even wear the lipstick next time.
