Anner House - Maeve Binchey
Set in Cape Town, South Africa, Anner House is the story of Ruth, an Irish emigre, and Neil, an Irishman who is struggling to put his life back together after the bitter collapse of his marriage.
Ruth is an assistant hotel manager who came to South Africa to be with Nicky, her boyfriend of many years who is reluctant to commit to her but won't let her go.
Ruth has a dream; to run a small hotel and when she discovers an old Cape Dutch house in the hills, she decides to take the plunge. She offers Neil the job of managing the renovation of the hotel, which he is pleased to do.
Neil and Ruth both have to deal with their pasts and are left with some life-changing decisions to make before their futures, and Anner House can begin to flourish.
