All Ireland Hurling Final 2010 - Tipperary v Kilkenny
From the outset the 2010 Hurling Championship had one big talking point and it was a discussion that reached fever pitch as the final approached. Could Kilkenny achieve the record 5-in-a-row or would their arch rivals, Tipperary, who pushed Kilkenny all the way in last years final, stop them in their tracks? It seemed like destiny that these two top teams would face up to each other in the 2010 final and offer fans a mouth-watering day in Croke Park. Brian Cody’s men were marginal favourites boosted by the inclusion of star player, Henry Shefflin, who for a long period had looked doubtful because of a serious injury. On the other hand Liam Sheedy’s young team were brimming with confidence after their great win in a titanic semi-final battle with Galway.
