Footballing aristocrats Kerry are still smarting from defeat by Tyrone in the controversial 2003 All-Ireland semi-final despite having succeeded the Ulster team as champions in 2004. This would be a final that settled a bigger argument. Tyrone’s progress to the final has been epic, as manager Mickey Harte gradually configured his team for optimum effect in titanic matches against Armagh and Dublin. Kerry were rampant in the semi-final win over Cork but have they learned enough from 2003. Or would there be one more lesson?
